Arrival day ,our driver guide will meet you at the Airport of Casablanca,
and then start your 12 Days Morocco trips from Casablanca. Depending
on your arrival time, we may want to include a guided tour of the Hassan
II Mosque the largest mosque in Africa, and experience the Atlantic
coast before heading to Rabat which is the country’s capital and one of
the imperial cities in Morocco through the highway. We will discover the
best attraction of this city such as the Hassan Tower, Chellah and
Oudaya Kasbah before checking in to hotel where you will stay for
overnight .
After breakfast, you’ll head to the blue-painted city of Chefchaouen. Visit the official
capital of Morocco, Rabat. This UNESCO World Site Heritage Site listed city since
2012 is home of the King & the Royal family. Start your tour by the dramatic
Oudayas Kasbah (fortress) with its tranquil but beautiful streets. Visit the Hassan
Tower, which is the landmark of Rabat, then the Mohammed V Mausoleum where
the grandfather, father & uncle of the Morocco’s are buried.
After that you’ll drive to Chefchaouen through the fertile agricultural plain
Gharb, then Ouazzane before reaching the blue city in the late
afternoon.
Today, you’ll spend the day exploring what this charming city has to
offer. Chefchaouen is known for its blue-painted streets turning into one
of the most beautiful destinations in the world. You may want to start
your day tour of Chefchaouen from the Utta Hammam Square, which is
in the heart of the Medina. Visit the Kasbah & the Museum, meander
around the streets that are shrouded in mystery before getting to the Ras
El-Ma Spring. The spring offers breathtaking views and is the cultural
hub where women tend to wash clothes and carpets.
After having breakfast in your hotel/Riad, we will head to Fes with a nice
drive through the spectacular Rif Mountains. En route, you’ll have a
guided tour of the Roman Ruins of Volubilis, then continue on the track
to Meknes, which was the Morocco’s imperial city in the 17th century.
This mysterious city was built by the late Sultan Moulay Ismail with its
long & high walls, bastions and strongholds. Start the tour of Meknes by
the impressive Bab Mansour Gate, stretch your legs in the olive market,
drive through the royal high walls, then the royal granaries & stables.
You’ll drive to the spiritual capital of Fes through the highway, which you
will reach in the evening.
Today, you’ll spend the first half-day exploring what Fes has to offer with
a private local guide who knows the city as the back of their hand. Drive
uphill where you can get a complete panoramic view of the Fes El-Bali
(Oldest Fes) and learn how it’s the largest car-free district in the world
turning it into a UNESCO listed heritage site. Visit the Royal Palaces
where you can take pictures by its golden gates before meandering
around the Mellah (Jewish Quarter).
Now, it’s time to have a guided walking tour of the Fes El-Bali with its
countless intricate alleyways, vibrant streets, lined-cafes, museums,
koranic schools and much more. Visit the famous Kairaouine University,
which is the oldest formal university in the world. In the late afternoon,
we will drive south through Ifrane while including a short break in the
cedar forest that hosts a colony of Barbary Apes.
After having breakfast, we will drive further south to the Sahara Desert of
Erg Chebbi with a nice drive through the High and middle Atlas
Mountains. We will include a short break for taking pictures in the Ziz
valley , the palm-dotted valley of Ziz before reaching the sand dunes of
Erg Chebbi in the late afternoon.
It’s time to have your lifetime experience by having the camel in the
desert while enjoying the breathtaking views of the sunset. Return to the
desert camp where you’ll have dinner in our luxurious tented restaurant
or under the stars.
Wake up in the early morning to attend the majestic view of the sunrise
atop the sand dune. Walk back to the camp for having a refreshing
breakfast, followed by a shower before heading west to the Dades Valley
through Erfoud, which is known for the excavation of fossils and minerals
with its factories that are open to explore this hidden geological field.
You’ll drive through the palm oasis of Tinjdad to the impressive Toudgha
Gorge (Canyon) where you can stretch your legs while enjoying the
breathtaking views. After lunch, you’ll drive to the Dades Valley, which
we will reach in the late afternoon.
Today, we will drive in the barren desert in the very heart of the
mountains while including a visit to a nomad family that still live in a
cave. You’ll learn about their lifestyle and how they have been able to
endure the harshness of nature. Drive through Boutaghrar Village with
its lush valleys, then to the Valley of Roses before getting to Ouarzazate
(Hollywood of Africa) through the palm oasis of Skoura.
After having breakfast in your hotel/Riad, we will head to Marrakech
through the spectacular High Atlas Mountains while including a visit to
the dramatic Ait Benhaddou Village. It’s a UNESCO listed village that
consists of numerous Kasbahs (fortresses), which are a striking example
of the southern architecture. After lunch, we will continue on the track to
Marrakech with an interesting drive over the Tizi N’Tichka Pass (2260 m)
with its countless Berber Villages that are built in adobe and stones.
Today, you’ll spend the day exploring the best of Marrakech with a
private local tour guide. Drive through the Ville Nouvelle that was built by
the French with its modern buildings leading us to the botanical gardens
of Majorelle that are owned by Saint Laurent. Enjoy this charming oasis
on earth, the drive back to the Medina where you will have a guided
walking tour while visiting the Saadian Tombs that go back to the 15th
century. Meander around the alleyways to the Bahia Palace through the
Mellah (former Jewish Quarter) before losing yourself in the vibrant
Souks that are organized into sections.
You’ll end your tour in the Jamaa El-Fena Square.
After having breakfast, you’ll have a day to spend on your own as you
may want to have another walk within the vibrant streets of the Medina.
Have a Spa treatment or a scrub in a Hammam. In the evening, you may
want to visit the Jamaa El-Fena Square that turns into a carnival filled
with musicians, snake charmers, story-tellers, fortune-tellers, acrobats
and food stalls selling Moroccan delicacies.
